NIGHT SAFARI class outing on 20 Jan 11 was great (:

Started off with the tram, which took around 45 minutes. Everywhere was dark so it was kind of hard looking for the animals! x.x Some of the animals were really cute!

Mwaaahahaha after that, went to walk the trail. Many many trails. Had an even closer up look at the animals! :D At around 9+, rushed back to catch the animal show. (:

Overall, it was very entertaining and really hilarious too. The speaker just knows how to speak... Hahs (: Uhm after that continued walking somemore trails. At ard 11+ headed home.

Hmmm thats it. Wondering if we will still be having anymore outing eh? Haha. BYE. :D

Hello earthlings! Oooo ytd's xmas outing was hahah quite funny afterall. :x So yea, we watched Gulliver's Travel at Cathay! I felt that it was not bad ah, quite funny! Hehs. (:

After that went to PS and had lunch.

Wheeee Christmas is coming and we are planning a xmas outing! :D So so so will be having it on 24 dec. Uhm should be ard afternoon at 12. At plaza sing. Should be catching a movie, gulliver's travels. Please go! ^_^ It has been super duper long since we last see one another already....

Hello 4e4!!! Dawn here again! Yesterday was prom... and its over, all over! ):

Im sad... Lol kay you guys may not find it that way. Anyw ytd everyone looks pretty and dashing! *drum rolls* for us! Whoaaaaaa~ ><

Kay so ytd I reached there at around 6plus and many were there already. Haha we were pretty punctual huh! So yea registered and went in after the cocktail~ got our seats and prom start... We had lucky draw, prom king queen, videos by classes and teaches! Thats all I can rmb since I was not paying attention most of the time... :b

Oh and Andy got into prom kind finalist, congrats! Haha. (: Oh and so fast its 11 alr! We left the ballroom... and took photos! Haha. I shall upload some here but guess there are rlly alot so yea please go fb see and rmb to tag one another! :3

Hi guys~ Just a short update on what we did on 6 Feb. :D

People who went were: Ying Ping, Khia Meng, Andy, Jun Wen, Hao Jun, Thant Soe, Gek Nian, Adrain, Xin Yi, Jill, Wei Ting, Dawn, Stanely, Chang Sheng, Edmund and Julius. (:

We had our lunch at BBQ Chicken. (:
The birthday girl! :D
So after that we went walking around Cineleisure, took neoprints and went to the movies. We watched the imaginarium of doctor parnassus. ^^
After movie, some continued to walk around Orchard while some left. Hm thats all. Byeeee.

Hi guys! Nadiah here(:
Well im gonna update abt the class chalet which was held on the 25th Nov-27th Nov 09!
But i was there only for 2days1night so the last day won't be included.. sorry..

Anywoots, here's what happened during the chalet..

Day 1/2
I reached Pasir Ris with Zahra at ard 8.30pm and met Dawn, LiQing, XinYi, Jill, WeiTing, Adrain, ZhiKang, KhiaMeng, GekNian, YingPing and Julius at e-hub. They were getting some stuffs for the bbq the next day.. Then headed to the room F1614 and we watched movies! They were mainly Final Destination 3 which was gory and wayy tooo rated, Mean Girls aka ChickFlick and She's the Man.. Before watching She's the Man, the guys went walking ard outside and soon some of the girls went walking too. we got back before 2am and some of the rest went out again and i guess i fell asleep then.. It was abt 2am..
Day2
That morning most of us woke up at 6am, others earlier maybe.. They wanted to catch the sunrise and i don't know what happened. After tt, we took turns to shower.. While waiting, we watched another movie! Exorcism of Emily Rose :D It was a suspense/horror movie.. I got to watch it till the end cos i showered last! hehe(: Afterwards, we went for breakfast at the foodcourt at downtown east.
Then, we headed to Escape Theme Park(ETP)! There, we rode mostly all the rides except for the go-karts.. First was the Superman thingy.. Then, the HAUNTED HOUSE! Someone shouted real LOUD heh! and another someone held on to my back the whole time! hehe:D Then we took Viking! woohoo!! *shoutshoutshout w/ hands in air* Then we rode the mini roller coaster that made us ache on the hips.. ahax.. after tt, some of us rode Wet&Wild! and got ourselves drenched! To so-called "dry oursleves" we took Viking again and again and again. Yes, thrice! Felt like vomiting! But i hope no one did.. Then we cooled down in BK.. Soon later, some of them returned back to F1614 while the some of the rest rode Superman again. Then sat at BK again. And rode Superman again, this time twice! haha:D Then we went back to F1614 and they switched on the movie Just My Luck and whilst watching, i dozed off......

Jeng!

i woke up.. haha.. couldnt rmmbr what time it was, maybe 4pm?.. Then we started to poke the food tt were gonna get bbq-ed.. Ard 5 we started to start a fire BUT it started to drizzle THEN rain! The last thing we were wishing for was the rain.. ahx.. The rain stopped for a while and they tried making a fire again. Then some of us asked permission from the people in F1615 if we could use their pit and they allowed us to. aww thank u! But it rained again): Soon enough, the rain stopped and the sky was clear..
It was ard 6+pm and this time, they started fires on both pits 14&15.. By tt time MdmLye, JieYing, JiaMin, YuTing, HuiHao, KaiKiat, LiTing, Shawn, Jeremy, Moses, Chong Han and Julius's brother(idon'tknowhisname!) arrived..
The food started to get cooked, pictures were snapped, memories were made and tummies started to get full! hehe:D
Ard 8pm, Mr Kuang and family came. He bought more water for us too.. Thank You! His two children are adorable!
But i had to go off at 9pm so yea..

guess this is where it ends..

Hellos people, Dawn here. Yay, exams are long over already and tmr we will be getting our results. Booooo. Lol. Anyway im just here to inform everyone of you that there will be a class chalet during this eoy holiday.

It will be on the 24, 25 and 26 Nov. Tue, Wed and Thu respectively. The chalet will be at Downtown East so which means to say, we will most probably be going to Escape, Wild Wild Wet, bbq or slack in room. Hahs.

So if you are only going for the bbq you have to pay $10 and if you are going for chalet and bbq, do pay $20. Payment will be made tmr so do rmb to bring your money along.

Hahs, lets hope that everyone will have fun there. Byeee.

AEM Perfumery

Day 1

Had a short briefing on what is perfumery and what are we going to do for the next few days. Next, start smelling all differents types of fragrance. Since is the first day that we smell all these, it all smell like car tyres to me -.-

Just look at the amount of smelling strips we had to smell! We actually smell each and every one of them! After that, we did practical with our lecturer, Joseph Chan.

Day 2

Theory lesson first. Started by learning the organic structures[for e.g, methane,ethane....] and build some of them ;D Isn't it cool?
Lunch ;D Followed by practical. We smell different fragrances, some were minty while others were floral. Created some perfume too but it is not suitable for applying on the skin.

Day 3

Did practical for the whole day with another lecturer, Ms Jessie. We created perfume for fine fragrance, body wash and air freshener.

Day 4

Practical for the whole day ;] We continued on our air freshner and body wash. Started off with mixing gelatine and warm water...

The gelatine I was talking about...

And the outcome of mixing warm water and gelatine...

Next add some colouring...

Pour into a container and leave it to cool..

and presenting JieTing and friends product ;D

Next, the bodywash....

First, add the bodywash liquid and water...Stir it, but not too vigourously if not....
bubbles will form and we will need to use a spatula and scoop the bubbles.

Divide it into 3 beakers, add fragrance that we created the day before and do our evaluation.

Finally, the product! We got to brought to bring back all our products ;D

Day 5

Theory test first. Hard is all I can say. Went for practical. Task: To create a detergent. Started off with the process that we did for the body wash, it is all the same actually. Just that instead of adding body wash liquid, we add detergent...

And our product with my team-mates:

Did our presentation and we were asked some questions by the teachers. Totally stunned there. Overall, this course is fun ;D

AEM Solar Energy

Fundamentals of Solar and Renewable Energies (AEM) at Ngee Ann Poly :D

Day 1

Short briefing at Watts-Up and had our breakfast there. After that, we went to the lab and started our theory lessons on electric circuits and batteries. Lunched, it is buffet everyday. (; After lunch, we had 1 hour of theory on soldering and started our first practical! We soldered many resistors and wires. :D

Day 2

Had theory lesson on electrical components. Lunched. Started on our practicals, we made a solar power supply circuit.

Started with PV basics and system. After that, we soldered an electric circuit. Lunched. Toured around Ngee Ann Poly. Continued soldering another electric circuit. These circuits are solar car controllers. :D

Tried out our solar car controllers on the solar cars. ((: Visited NP Solar House then lunched. Finally we left our lab and went to another building for a new topic. We had theory on wind power all the way, had quiz and left.

There are many solar panels and they are really hot.

Day 5

We were in groups of 4, making a simple wind machine. Lunched. Had theory lessons on biogas and had quiz. Went back to Watts-Up and did a short survey. Had sandwiches and drinks for us, before we left. Overall, it was very fun. :D

DAY ONE

Had some introduction on Aerospace at the Lecture Theatre.

Our lecturer was Chaganti. We were assigned a project

to build an airplane in groups of five by the end of the AEM.

And we had to buy the materials.

DAY TWO

Had lecture again in the morning.

In the afternoon, we started

planning and building our planes.

Planning.

We went to see the airplanes, its interior and etc.

And another one!

After lunchbreak, we did soldering of LED and resistors

in order to obtain a lighting LED circuit.

DAY FOUR

We were introduced to a flight stimulation game,

based on a real airplane. We learnt to control, take off and land.

Only in-game based. Not in real ;P

DAY FIVE

In the morning, we went onto a short tour

@ SP.

3E4 at the Library.

Then, we did our test, passed up our E Quizzes.

And had the 'flight test' for each of our group's

Hey 3E4, this is Dawn. (:

Exams are over, so are the results known. But it's over, so let's enjoy ourselves during the June holidays. :D There is going to be a BBQ.

The venue will most probably be at Moses house. He has to check whether he is able to book anot, so I will confirm again on Monday.

We will hold the BBQ during the 3rd week of June holidays, the dates are 15, 16, 17 and 18 June. Do think it through during the weekends and we will have a voting on Monday.

The timing will be confirmed on Monday too. For the things needed and who will be preparing the food, there will be a list.

In all, do think it through during the weekends and I will try to have most things settled on Monday. I will update again soon.
